Overview

The WhatsApp Templates Library is a collection of 113+ pre-built message templates that help you get started quickly with WhatsApp marketing. Instead of creating templates from scratch, you can browse, preview, and use professionally designed templates across multiple industries and languages.


Getting Started

Accessing the Template Library

  1. Navigate to Marketing Tools in the left sidebar

  1. Click on WhatsApp Templates Library

You'll see a grid of available templates, each with a preview, badges showing the category and format, and action buttons.

Using a Template

Step 1: Browse and Preview

  1. Scroll through the template grid or use filters to narrow down options

  1. Each template card shows:

  • Template name and icon

  • Industry and use case

  • Category badge (color-coded: purple for Marketing, blue for Utility, green for Authentication)

  • Format badge (Carousel templates show a special ๐ŸŽ  badge)

  • Language badge

  1. Click Preview to see a full-screen phone mockup of how the template will look in WhatsApp

Step 2: Select a Template

  1. Click Use Template on any template card

  1. If you have one WhatsApp channel: The template will be created directly for that channel

  1. If you have multiple WhatsApp channels: A dialog will appear asking you to select which channel to use

  1. If you have no WhatsApp channels: You'll be prompted to connect a WhatsApp Business account first

Step 3: Customize Your Template

After selecting a template, you'll be redirected to the template editor where you can:

  • Edit the template name

  • Customize the message content

  • Replace placeholder images or media

  • Modify buttons and call-to-action text

  • Fill in variable examples


Template Types

Single Templates

Standard message templates with:

  • Header (optional): Image, video, or document

  • Body text with variables like {{1}}, {{2}} for personalization

  • Footer (optional)

  • Buttons: Quick reply, URL, or phone number buttons

Carousel Templates ๐ŸŽ 

Interactive templates with multiple swipeable cards, perfect for:

  • Product showcases

  • Menu displays

Each carousel can have up to 10 cards, and each card includes:

  • Header image

  • Body text

  • Buttons

To preview a carousel template, click the Preview Carousel button to see all cards in the phone mockup view.

Starting from Scratch

  1. Click the Start from Scratch button in the top-right corner

  1. You'll be taken to the template creation page with a blank canvas

  1. Build your template by adding header, body, footer, and buttons


Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I use a template?

Make sure you have at least one WhatsApp channel connected. Go to Settings โ†’ WhatsApp โ†’ Add Channel to connect your WhatsApp Business account.

Can I edit templates after selecting them?

Yes! When you select a template from the library, it creates a draft that you can fully customize before submitting to WhatsApp for approval.

Are carousel templates more expensive?

Carousel templates follow the same WhatsApp pricing as regular templates. However, they can be more engaging and effective for showcasing multiple products or services.

How do I know if a template is approved?

After submitting your customized template, WhatsApp typically reviews and approves templates within 24-48 hours. You can check the status in your Message Templates list.

Can I request templates in other languages?

Currently, the library supports 7 languages. If you need templates in additional languages, you can start with an English template and translate it in the editor.
