Step 1: Open the Automation
Navigate to Automations and open the automation you would like to modify.
Step 2: Edit the Flow
If you accidentally clicked on the name of the broadcast, then you can Click on Edit Flow and locate the message block that contains the template you want to update.
Step 3: Open the Template
Click on the message block, then click on the template name currently being used.
Step 4: Edit the Template
You will be redirected to the Template Builder. Make the required changes to your template content.

Step 5: Submit the Updated Template
Once your changes are complete, click Submit and Edit to save the updated template.
It will ask you to duplicate and submit, Please click on the same. Then wait for the template to get approved. it can take upto 24 hours for a template to get approved by Meta.
Step 6: Note Down Existing Variables
Go back to the original automation, Before replacing the template in your automation, make a note of all the variables currently mapped in the message block.
Step 7: Replace the Template
Return to the automation and select the newly updated template.
Step 8: Reconfigure Variables
Since the template has been updated, you may need to map the variables again. Ensure that all variables are assigned correctly.
Step 9: Save the Automation
After verifying the template and variable mappings, click Save to apply the changes to your automation.
Important Note
Whenever a template is replaced or updated, always review the variable mappings before saving. Incorrect or missing variable mappings can cause messages to fail or display incorrect information.
