Instagram and Facebook Settings

Manage Instagram & Facebook channels in Spur - refresh connections, fix sync issues, update permissions, and disconnect accounts.

Manage your connected Instagram and Facebook pages from the Instagram & Facebook section in Settings. View all connected channels, access individual settings, and troubleshoot connection issues.

Main Channel Overview

The main page shows all your connected social media accounts in a table format:

  • Profile: Account name and profile picture

  • Channel Type: Instagram or Facebook icon

  • Actions: Settings button to configure each connected channel

Click Connect New Channel to add Instagram or Facebook accounts.

Instagram Channel Settings

When you click Settings for an Instagram account, you'll see these options:

1. Refresh Webhooks

Fixes connection issues between Instagram and Spur. Use this if:

  • Messages aren't syncing properly

  • Automations stopped working

  • Comments aren't being captured

2. Refresh Permissions

Renews your Instagram login permissions. Use this if:

  • Resfreshing webhooks doesn't work out

  • You get permission error messages on automation messages/comment replies

  • Instagram features suddenly stop working

3. Disconnect

Removes this Instagram account from Spur completely. Click this if:

  • You no longer want to manage this account through Spur

  • You need to reconnect with different login credentials

Facebook Channel Settings

Facebook pages have the same core options plus one additional feature:

1. Refresh Webhooks

Same as Instagram - fixes syncing issues between Facebook and Spur.

2. Refresh Permissions

Renews Facebook login permissions when you get error messages.

3. Facebook Inbox Automation Settings

Special link for Facebook pages to configure automated responses. This helps prevent conflicts if you have other automation tools running on Facebook.

4. Disconnect

Removes the Facebook page from your Spur account.

When to Use These Options

Refresh Webhooks: Try this first if messages or comments arent appearing in Spur

Refresh Permissions: Use when you see permission errors or after changing social media passwords

Disconnect: Only use if you want to permanently remove the account from Spur

Most connection issues get fixed with Refresh Webhooks or Refresh Permissions.

Only disconnect if you're sure you want to remove the account entirely. You will lose all your Instagram/FB chats on Spur, they'll still be viewable through the mobile app if you check the chats over there.
