What is Link Products?

Add products/collections to posts, reels, stories and ads and anyone who comments on a connected post will get a DM from your brand showcasing the connected items and a button which takes them to the product page.

How to use Link Products?

  1. Enable/Disable Link Products

    If the top right toggle is disabled no product will go when someone comments on a connected post

  2. Connecting a post with a product/collection →

    1. Select the type of content

    2. Click on Add Products

    3. Select the products you want, they will show up on top

    4. Select the collection you want, they will show up on top

    5. Reorder the products and collections to your preferred order and they will show up in that order in Instagram.

  3. Settings for Link Products
    These settings are universal for all the posts/reels/ads/stories that you connect via Spur

    1. Specify triggers/keywords for the comments you want to send connects items to and you also specify triggers/keywords for the comments you don’t want the automation to be triggered for.

      Note: You are not specifying the entire comment here, we will check if these keywords are part of the entire comment.

    2. Reply In Comments Add multiple comment replies. To avoid spam, we’ll randomly select and send a reply: (We advice adding a comment reply for every 100 comments you get in a day. Eg: if you get 500 comments in a day, add 5 comment replies)

    3. Comment Reply Limit - The automation will stop sending comment replies once the post accumulates "x" comments to comply with Instagram's policies and prevent your account from being flagged as spam. Direct messages will continue to be sent. If unsure, set the limit to 1000 comments.

    4. Cart Recovery Send the cart recovery message to contacts who checked the product but didn't buy it.


FAQs

Q - Spur has stopped replying to comments on the post / reel?

If you go to Link Products > Settings, you’ll notice there is a limit there.

This limit is there to protect you. And it says, after your reel reaches "x" comments, we’ll stop replying to comments and continue sending DMs.

The best way to test is just to comment and see if you get the products in DM.

If we don’t have this limit and any reel goes viral like this, then there are good chances IG will block your ability to reply to comments and sometimes even DM.
