By connecting your store, you can sync your product catalog to leverage Spur's chat automation, and manage customer engagement across popular platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp with unparalleled ease.
How to Create WooCommerce API Keys
Creating API keys is a straightforward process that enables Spur to access your WooCommerce store's data. Follow these steps to generate your WooCommerce API keys:
Log in to Your WordPress Dashboard:
Start by logging into your website where WooCommerce is installed.
Navigate to WooCommerce Settings:
In your WordPress dashboard, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API. This path will lead you to the API management section.
Generate API Key:
Click on the "Add Key" button. This action takes you to the Key Details screen.
Provide a meaningful description for your key to remember its purpose easily.
Select the User you wish to generate this key for from the dropdown menu. This should be a user with admin rights or one that you specifically manage WooCommerce.
Set the Permissions as Read/Write from the Permissions dropdown. This allows Spur to not only read data from your store but also write data, enabling full automation capabilities.
Finalize API Key Generation:
Click on "Generate API Key". WooCommerce will then create a new set of API keys for the user you selected.
You will be presented with two keys: a Consumer Key and a Consumer Secret. These keys are crucial for connecting your WooCommerce store to Spur. (Do not close the tab before saving these keys, you won't be able to view them again)
Connect your WooCommerce to Spur using API Keys:
Go to Spur's WooCommerce Settings Page
Settings β WooCommerce
Paste the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret from the last step into the designated fields within the Spur WooCommerce settings page to finalize the connection between your WooCommerce store and Spur.
By completing these steps, your WooCommerce store will be successfully connected to Spur, enabling you to utilize Spur's comprehensive automation features. These include syncing your product catalog for direct message sales, automating chat responses, and effectively managing customer engagement across multiple platforms.
Note: If you encounter any issues or feel something isn't working as expected after integrating Spur with WooCommerce, please try clicking on the Refresh Permissions button located in the settings page.
