This guide will help you create a complete WhatsApp commerce experience within WhatsApp. After you implement this.

  1. You can broadcast or individually share your WhatsApp catalog with your customers

  2. Your customers would discover your products, add them to cart and place the order

  3. The automation would create a pending payment order on WooCommerce for you

  4. And you can share the checkout link on WhatsApp itself.

Steps to enable WhatsApp Commerce

First, sync your WhatsApp's Catalog with WooCommerce right now.

After that is done, create a new workflow:

Go to the 'Automations' tab. Once you're in the 'Automations' section, click on the 'New Workflow' button to begin creating your workflow.

Now we add a trigger "Cart Sent on WhatsApp"

Did you know you can collect your customer's address on WhatsApp too? Let's do that

Prefer a video to implement Address collection? Use this

To add the address message, just add a WhatsApp message step

Then we select address message

There, you can enter the following text:

Please share your address with us by clicking the button below

Now, we'll add a CTA message to share the checkout link with the customer finally.

This is where the magic happens, when you use the variable {{trigger.computed.whatsapp_checkout_url}} Spur automatically creates a pending payment order on your WooCommerce store and shares the checkout URL. The customer can now just click on that button, pay, and the order shall show up on your store dashboard. How cool is that!!

Now just turn on the flow. Hit save and try out the flow once.

But we're not done yet, it would be great if we can also see all these address info in one place.

View all the order data at one place with Spur Tables

First, in the address message, just enable "Save in Flow Data"

And now we'll also save the order summary, for this we'll use an action

And now just use the "WhatsApp Cart order Summary" variable
