The process is quite straightforward.

If you are a new Spur user, we recommend signing up using Google Sign-In when accessing the platform for the first time. This method is not only more convenient but also offers enhanced security, helping protect your account from unauthorized access.

If you currently use an email and password to log in, we still strongly recommend linking your Google account for improved ease of access and added security.

Why link your Google account?

Linking your Google account comes with several advantages:

  • Stronger security: Google Sign-In leverages advanced security measures like multi-factor authentication and suspicious activity detection.

  • Reduced risk of password breaches: You don’t need to rely solely on a password that could be reused or compromised.

  • Faster login experience: Skip typing credentials every time and log in with a single click.

  • Fewer login issues: Avoid common problems like forgotten passwords or account lockouts.

  • Seamless access across devices: Easily log in from any device where your Google account is already signed in.

  • Centralized account management: Manage your login and security settings directly through your Google account.

  • Future-ready authentication: Google Sign-In supports modern authentication standards, making your account more resilient over time.

Here’s how you can do that:

  1. Log in to your Spur account as usual.

  2. Navigate to Settings → General.

  3. Under the Authentication section, click on “Link Google Account” (as shown in the screenshot).

  4. You will be prompted to sign in with the Google account you wish to link. Complete the sign-in process.

Once done, your Google account will be successfully connected, allowing you to log in more quickly and securely going forward.
