How to use Nitro in integration with Spur

Guide detailing steps to connect Nitro to Spur to convert anonymous website visitors to actionable leads to get lost revenue back.

Updated this week

Step 1: Fresh Install of Nitro Integration

1. Remove Existing API Client Keys:

• Go to Settings > API.

• Remove any existing API client keys for a fresh start.

Note: You will lose your existing API integrations, and will have to reuse the new key for Nitro as the API key for all future API Integrations.

2. Initiate Nitro Integration:

• Navigate to Settings > Integration > Nitro.

• Click on Manage and follow the instructions to integrate with Nitro.

Click on 'Integrate with Nitro'

3. Verify Nitro API Client Key:

• Once integrated, check Settings > API.

• Ensure the Nitro client key appears in the API client keys list.

Step 2: Setting Up Automations with Nitro

1. Create a New Flow:

• Go to Automations > My Automations and click New Flow.

• Choose WhatsApp as the channel (Nitro captures phone numbers, ideal for WhatsApp).

2. Start from Scratch:

• In the dialog box, select Start from Scratch instead of a template.

3. Add a Trigger:

• Choose a trigger from Nitro’s options:

• Page Viewed

• Category Viewed

• Product Viewed

• Added to Cart

• Removed from Cart

• Checkout

• For example, select Product Viewed as a trigger to engage customers who viewed a specific product.

4. Design the Flow:

Add Delay Blocks:

• Example: Add a 2-hour delay after the trigger to avoid appearing intrusive.

Send Messages:

• After the delay, send a message like, “Hey, we noticed you liked [Product Name]. Buy it now!”

Follow-Up Messages:

• Add another delay (e.g., 2 days) and send a message highlighting customer testimonials or reviews.

Final Offer:

• Add a delay (e.g., 3 days) and offer a unique Shopify discount code to close the sale.

5. Enable the Workflow:

• Save and enable the flow to start engaging leads automatically.

Step 3: Manual Engagement with Nitro Leads

1. Access Identified Leads:

• Open Nitro’s dashboard to view identified visitors.

• Details include names, locations, emails, phone numbers, products viewed, and cart items.

2. Sync with Spur:

• Leads identified by Nitro are automatically added to Spur with the tag Nitro Lead.

3. Segment Nitro Leads:

• In Spur, go to Contacts and filter by the Nitro Lead tag.

• Create segments to target these leads specifically.

4. Broadcast Messages:

• Use the Nitro Lead segment to send personalized broadcasts.

• Example: Announce new product launches or offer exclusive deals.

Benefits of Nitro Integration

• Automated Abandoned Checkout Recovery:

• Nitro identifies visitors who would otherwise remain anonymous, enabling you to recover revenue effectively.

Advanced Segmentation:

• Separate Nitro leads and target them with tailored campaigns.

Actionable Insights:

• Track visitor activity, cart contents, and browsing behavior to refine marketing strategies.
