Prerequisites:

  • Admin access to the Spur dashboard.

  • Familiarity with the Spur marketing tools section.


Steps to Enable/Disable the Chat Widget:

  1. Sign in to the Spur Dashboard: Begin by logging into your Spur account to access the dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Marketing Tools: From the dashboard, locate and click on 'Marketing Tools'.

  3. Access Chat Widget Settings: Scroll through the options and select 'Chat Widget'.

  4. Preview in Theme Editor: Once inside the 'Chat Widget' section, click on 'Preview in Theme Editor'. This will show you how the widget currently appears on your platform.

  5. Enable/Disable Chat Widget: Go to the 'Shopify App Embeds' section and look for the option to disable the Spur chat widget. Toggle or uncheck this option to disable it.

  6. Enable/Disable Channels: If you want you can enable/disable the toggle besides the channel name. If it is enabled the channel will show in the widget, if it is disabled, the channel will not show up in the widget.

  7. Edit Phone Number, IG Username, Facebook Page Name and Email: Lastly don't fill the phone number in WhatsApp, username in Instagram, page name in Facebook and email address in Email in the Chat Widget settings, otherwise your customers won't be redirected to the correct place.
