Overview
Spur is a WhatsApp automation platform for Shopify brands, used for cart recovery, order updates, AI-powered support, and post-purchase flows — including review collection. With the Judge.me integration, merchants can collect product reviews directly inside WhatsApp and push them straight to Judge.me. No CSV exports, no manual imports, no extra steps.
Pricing details:
Judge.me plan: Free — this integration works on Judge.me's Free plan, no upgrade to Awesome required.
Spur plan: AI Start plan or higher — this flow relies on Spur's Shopify integration and WhatsApp Automation, which are available starting on the AI Start plan.
Once connected, merchants can turn on a ready-made WhatsApp flow that asks customers to rate their purchase after delivery, collects the rating, review text, and an optional photo, and pushes that review straight into Judge.me in real time — replacing any manual CSV-based workflow.
How it works
A customer's order is marked Delivered in Shopify.
After a configurable delay (to give the customer time to try the product), Spur sends a WhatsApp message asking them to rate their purchase using quick-reply star buttons.
The flow collects the star rating, a written review, and optionally a photo and a review title, directly in the WhatsApp conversation.
As soon as the customer completes the flow, Spur pushes the review to Judge.me in real time — no batching, no manual export.
If a Product ID is included (pulled from the order data), the review is linked to that specific product in Judge.me. Without it, the review is posted as a store-level review.
Merchants end up with reviews (including photos) flowing into Judge.me automatically, driven entirely by WhatsApp conversations their customers already open and read.
Considerations / Limitations
No exit conditions on the flow. If a customer places two orders, they'll be asked to review both — each order triggers its own independent review request.
Photos are temporarily hosted on Spur. When a customer uploads a photo in WhatsApp, it's stored on Spur's servers for 7 days. The photo URL is included in the push to Judge.me, where it's then stored permanently.
Product ID is optional but recommended. Including it links the review to the right product in Judge.me; omitting it posts the review at the store level.
Both rating and review body are required for a review to be pushed. If a customer only sends a star rating and doesn't respond to the review body prompt, nothing is sent to Judge.me.
Upgrading from the old CSV workflow: If you previously used Spur's review collection flow that required exporting to CSV and importing into Judge.me manually, this integration replaces that entirely. Same WhatsApp review collection flow, same customer experience — but reviews now go directly to Judge.me. You can either add the Judge.me push action to your existing flow, or switch to the default Judge.me flow described below.

Set up the Spur integration
Step 1: Connect Judge.me to Spur
In your Spur dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations.
Find Judge.me and click Connect/Manage.
In the integration window, click Connect with Judge.me.
You will be redirected to Judge.me. Sign in if prompted and approve the permissions requested by Spur.
After authorization, you will be redirected to Spur.
Confirm that the integration window displays Connected to Judge.me.
Step 2: Enable and configure the "Review Collection via WhatsApp (Judge.me)" flow
Go to the Automation tab in Spur.
Click New flow.
Select the WhatsApp channel from which you want to send review requests.
Search for Review collections via WhatsApp (Judge.me).
Click Use Template.
Review the default Order Delivered trigger. This starts the flow when an order is marked as delivered in Shopify.
Review the delay block. The default delay is one day, giving the customer time to try the product. Adjust it for your products—for example, use a shorter delay for consumables or 5–7 days for electronics and furniture.
Review the WhatsApp messages and quick-reply buttons used to collect the customer’s rating.
Confirm that the flow also collects a written review. Both a rating from 1–5 and a review body are required before Spur can push the review to Judge.me.
Optionally, configure the flow to collect a review title and customer-uploaded image.
Open the Create Judge.me Review action and confirm the fields are mapped correctly: (see table below)
Click Save.
Turn on the workflow toggle and confirm that it displays Workflow Enabled.
Review data sent to Judge.me:
Field | Required? | Details |
Rating (1–5) | Yes | Star rating from the customer |
Review Title | Optional | A title/heading for the review |
Review body | Yes | The written review text |
Product ID | Optional | Links the review to a specific product. If not provided, the review is posted as a store-level review. |
User Uploaded Image | Optional | Photo uploaded by the customer in WhatsApp |
Troubleshoot
Issue: A customer's review never showed up in Judge.me.
Solution: Check whether the customer completed both required fields (rating and review body). If they only sent a star rating and didn't respond to the review body prompt, the review is never pushed.
Issue: A customer's review photo is missing in Judge.me.
Solution: Photos are stored on Spur's servers for 7 days before being passed to Judge.me. If there was a long delay between the customer uploading the photo and the review being completed, the photo link may have expired.
Issue: Reviews are landing as store-level instead of product-specific.
Solution: This happens when no Product ID was included in the push. Check that the order data feeding the flow includes a Product ID, and confirm it's mapped correctly in the Judge.me action block.
Issue: A customer is getting asked to review the same product twice.
Solution: This is expected behavior — the flow has no exit conditions, so each order triggers its own independent review request, even from the same customer.
Issue: Integration not syncing or connection appears broken.
Solution: Reconnect under Settings → Integrations in Spur and make sure Judge.me permissions are still granted. If the issue persists, contact [email protected] or Spur's WhatsApp support.
