Setting up webhook automation allows you to connect external applications to Spurnow to trigger actions, like sending a WhatsApp message. Here’s a general guide based on how you can set it up:
Create a New Flow: Navigate to the "Automations" section in your Spurnow account and start a new flow from scratch.
2. Select the Channel of your choice: You need to select where the messages from this automation will be going; In this case, we have selected Whatsapp
3. Click on Start from Scratch
4. Add a Webhook Trigger: The first step in your automation will be the trigger. Select "Webhooks" as the trigger type. Spurnow will then generate a unique URL for this specific automation flow.
5. Define the Action: After the trigger, you'll add the action you want to perform. For example, you can add a step to "Send a WhatsApp message." You can then select a message template and use data received from the webhook to fill in variables, personalizing the message for each contact.
6. Connect Your External App: Copy the webhook URL from the trigger step in Spurnow. Paste this URL into the webhook or automation section of the external application you want to receive data from (for example, Zapier, your CRM, or a form builder). When an event occurs in that app, it will send the data to the Spurnow webhook URL, triggering your automated flow.
For instance, you could set up a webhook to trigger a WhatsApp confirmation message every time a new row is added to a Google Sheet. This is a powerful way to integrate your existing tools with Spurnow's messaging capabilities.
