Let Your AI Agent Track Orders for Customers! (Introducing the Track Orders Action)

Enable the AI's Track Orders action to automatically fetch and display order tracking info from Shopify when customers ask!

Have you set up your Spur AI agent and connected it to your channels like WhatsApp or Live Chat? That's great! Now, let's make it even more helpful by enabling it to automatically handle a common customer query: "Where is my order?"

We've added a new, built-in Track Orders action to your AI agent's capabilities. This action is designed to automatically find and share order status information with your customers when they ask your AI bot.

How Does It Work?

When a customer asks your AI agent about their order status or tracking information during a conversation (for example, typing "Where is my order?"), the AI agent will:

  1. Use the customer's phone number (which is already available in the chat).

  2. Connect with your Shopify store in the backend.

  3. Fetch details about their recent orders associated with that phone number.

  4. Display the details directly to the customer in the chat.

The information the AI can provide typically includes:

  • Order number

  • Order status (e.g., Fulfilled, Still processing)

  • Tracking number (if available)

  • A direct link for the customer to track their shipment or view order details on your store's website.

How to Enable the Track Orders Action

Enabling this action for your AI agent is simple:

  1. Go to the AI tab in your Spur dashboard.

  2. Select the Actions tab for your AI agent.

  3. Find the Track Orders option and ensure the toggle is switched ON.

  4. Click the Manage button below the toggle to configure its settings.

  5. In the configuration pop-up, you can define When to use this action. By default, it's set to trigger:


    ​"When a customer asks about their order status or tracking information, use this action to fetch and display the details from Shopify."
    ​

  6. You can customize this prompt if needed to specify the exact phrases or keywords that should trigger the order tracking.

  7. Click Save to apply your configuration.

Once enabled and configured, your AI agent is ready to start helping customers track their orders instantly, 24/7, without needing a human agent!
