Step-by-step Guide
Create a new IG Automation Flow.
Choose the Trigger: Comment.
In Trigger settings, select Specific post / reel / ad.
Select the posts you want to automate.
This is also where you copy each Post ID you’ll need for conditions.
Configure which comments should trigger the automation and the reply that'll go in the comments.
Add a Condition block.
In the condition input, choose Trigger Variables → Post ID.
Operator: is.
Paste the Post ID you copied in step 4.
Create a new condition group for each additional post you want to personalize.
For each condition group, send a different message.
Save & test. Comment on each post with your trigger phrase(s) to confirm the correct, post-specific message fires.
Best practices
Same reply for multiple posts? Don’t create a new condition group.
Edit the existing Post ID condition group → set group logic to “Any of the following” → add another condition for each extra Post ID.
Add a fallback branch (“None of these condition match the contact”) with a neutral reply if no Post ID matches, useful when you add new posts later
Troubleshooting
Wrong branch firing? Double-check you pasted the exact Post ID and used the is operator.
Nothing triggers? Make sure the trigger is set to Specific post / reel / ad and the comment actually matches your trigger rules.
Duplicate replies? Ensure you don’t have overlapping conditions that route the same comment twice
